This year’s big inspiration and research trip was to the culturally beautiful island if Bali. From the intricacies of rice paddies, the rich history of textiles, to the dichotomy of European ex-patriot and Balinese architecture, this trip was through and through one of the most inspiring places I have traveled to. I also had the opportunity to visit screen-printing factories to see first hand how large scale graphics are printed and to meet the master Balinese artists who skillfully print our textile designs for our client miamelon.
